STABILIZING OUR POPULATION!

          It's time we got real about where we came from, how we got here and why we are here. A race of beings brought us here a long time ago and are monitoring us now! They have a message for us. They want us to stabilize our population - make the birth rate match the death rate! Everywhere we look, everything is turned upside down. Where truth has to give way to myth. We are living it all day - every day of our lives. I finally realized what is wrong with our society. What I want to talk to you about is what we can do about it. What I want to do now is bring it to your attention. 

          The two major philosophies that govern the lives and minds of most of the citizens of our world society are religion and pseudoscience. Many, if not most, live lives that slide easily between each approach. This is possible because they are both works of  imagination. (aka Myths) They are two sides of the same coin. The fact that they have absolutely no support in the factual world worries no one in the audiences they are trying to influence. In this sense I lump all of the worlds religions into one concept; adherence to a mythical god. This adherence to a god also applies to the converts to the pseudoscience called "evolution". Both camps believe we came into being through a "miracle" process. Both require suspension of the rule of logic I believe underlies our ability to judge right and wrong. 

          We measure our relative maturity by our ability to comprehend these matters. Anyone looking at us from a long range historical perspective would have to assign us a value of zero plus a minuscule fraction on the maturity scale. Our adherence to solving problems by going to war to resolve our differences is case in point.

          I believe it is possible that the god concept started some time after the last time the creator race people came here and performed some "miracle" like events. The events listed in the misnamed "flood story" and the accounts of Abraham's family and the account of Lot's family and the dealings with the creator race people who came at the time of the last nuclear war holocaust. It must have seemed to later survivors that the above stories were the hand of a willfully destructive god who decided to destroy a civilization which was covering the earth with people who could not be reasoned with. We see evidence of this anti-logical phenomenon all of the time. The way we view events is not logical. Everything that happens in the present is connected to the past, never the present looking to the future. Everything happening now determines our future. The critics who attempt to tell us there is no future have their heads in the sand. The future is completely laid-out for us by today's events. It doesn't take an Einstein to see what I see. The "Flood Story", when read correctly, is what we are doing now. If we don't change our way. We, because of our  reluctance to reign-in unbridled childbirth, will eventually fill the whole planet with people. 

         The "Flood Story" says: " The earth was filled with violence because of them", etc." The constant increase in the size of the population will, in a relatively short time, fill the planet with fractious people.

WE MUST STABILIZE OUR POPULATION!

          There is a method by which we can effect this. This method is the only non-draconian method I can imagine. We can, if the UN and the major governments will adopt this method, start to regulate the population and eventually stabilize it. By stabilize I mean, make the birth rate match the death rate. 

         The UN would take steps to determine the death rate over the whole planet. All of the worlds societies would establish Family Councils, elected by the population, to regulate childbirth. I mean regulate reproduction in their area. Women of childbearing age would apply to the council who would establish a queue. The UN would determine timing between births and this would establish a birth rate to match the death rate. 

          I know that this will, at first, meet with resistance. But the benefits will start to become obvious and will eventually win over peoples hearts. The population will slow its break-neck growth pace and people will find it much easier to live with their neighbors in peace. Wars of expansion will cease and the threat of nuclear war will disappear. Our population will live forever. Social concerns like abortion and STD's will be easier to control. Environmental concerns such as: Global warming, green house gases and urban sprawl will disappear into history.
